The long-neglected and dilapidated part of the Brno Airport complex, which also included the infamous army "buzerák", was given a new coat thanks to the investment of the Accolade Group. The world-class leader in DHL Express logistics has taken over the modern hall with an area of 3,700 m2, which has been awarded the BREEAM sustainability certification of the "Excellent" level. The company is thus expanding the number of existing tenants and the new building is another part of the process of modernizing the multimodal complex in the vicinity of the second busiest airport in the Czech Republic.
Praha, 14. zaří - CTP Invest is commencing construction of a new industrial park in the Poruba district of Ostrava, named ctPark Ostrava Poruba. Groundworks began in the summer and the initial project phase should be completed within six months, with the first companies moving in at the beginning of next year. The developer plans to invest more than €57 million (CZK 1.5 billion) in the project. Four large halls with production facilities and warehousing will be built at the site, which will offer almost 90,000 sqm of lettable area. This is the fifth ctPark in the Moravian-Silesian Region, besides the ctParks at Ostrava Hrabová, Nošovice, Nový Jičín, and Karviná.
The Agency for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, the intermediate body of the Operational Program Enterprise and Innovation for Competitiveness, has started receiving applications for subsidies under the "Calls VII of the Potential Support Program".
The aim of the call is to support the establishment and increase of the number of companies with infrastructure for their own research, development, and innovation. It is now possible to obtain up to 50 million CZK for one project. The call was announced on 28th August 2020 by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which is the managing authority of the OP EIC. The API will accept applications until 23 November 2020. This is the last call of the Potential program in the OP EIC, a total of 1.1 billion crowns has been prepared for applicants.

Hopi, a family logistics company, will build a distribution center in Prostejov for half a billion crowns to provide value-added warehousing and services, such as labeling and packaging, or displaying, for Nestlé, the Swiss food giant. At the same time, it will provide transportation across the countries of Central and Eastern Europe.
Gebrüder Weiss will handle more shipments thanks to the new terminal in Pilsen. Crossdocková hall area of 1200 square meters, has twice the area of manipulation, than previously used area. “In addition to safer storage, the more-than-used handling area also allows us to handle a growing number of shipments in the region more efficiently and faster,” says Jan Kodada, Sales and Marketing Director of Gebrüder Weiss ČR.
ECOM, a world-known supplier of liquid chromatography equipment, opened a new company center with design and production facilities today in Chrášťany in Prague - West. For approximately 75 million crowns, a two-storey building enclosed by a natural green roof was built on an area of 1160 square meters. It also includes a car park for employees and an arrival for supplies. The general contractor was Swietelsky stavební.
