Global logistics real estate leader Prologis has acquired a modern warehouse building of approximately 17,455 m² and integrated it into the existing Prologis Park Prague-Rudná. The newly added facility will continue to be operated by international logistics provider DSV under a sale-and-leaseback structure.
Strategic expansion in a key logistics location
The acquired building is located in one of the most established logistics zones in the Czech Republic, benefiting from direct access to the D5 motorway corridor and proximity to Prague. The Rudná location is considered one of the most sought-after industrial areas due to its strong transport connectivity and proximity to major consumption and distribution markets.
With this acquisition, Prologis further consolidates its position in the Greater Prague region, where it already operates one of its largest logistics parks.
According to market data, Prologis Park Prague-Rudná now exceeds 254,000 m² of modern logistics space, making it one of the largest and most important logistics hubs in the country.
DSV continues long-term cooperation
The transaction strengthens the long-standing partnership between Prologis and DSV, which operates across multiple logistics parks in Central Europe. The Rudná facility will continue to serve as a key operational base for distribution and logistics activities, including cross-dock operations and warehouse logistics.
Modern and sustainable warehouse asset
The newly integrated building is equipped with modern sustainability features, including:
- rooftop photovoltaic installation
- charging infrastructure for electric vehicles
- LNG fueling facilities
- energy-efficient LED lighting systems
These elements reflect the growing emphasis on sustainability and operational efficiency in modern logistics real estate.
Rudná remains a core logistics hub
Rudná continues to rank among the most important logistics submarkets in the Czech Republic, driven by its proximity to Prague, strong motorway connectivity, and high occupancy levels across industrial parks.
The latest acquisition confirms the ongoing investor interest in high-quality, income-generating logistics assets in established locations, even in a more cautious market environment.
Outlook
The transaction highlights two key trends shaping the industrial market:
- continued consolidation of high-quality logistics portfolios by institutional owners
- strong long-term demand from global logistics operators for strategically located space
As a result, locations like Rudná are expected to remain core hubs for distribution and warehousing across Central Europe.
