Revolutionizing Logistics in the Karlovy Vary Region
The Mattoni 1873 Group has inaugurated a significant new warehouse facility at its production plant in Mnichov, near Mariánské Lázně. This strategic development is poised to redefine the company's logistics for its Magnesia brand, moving away from reliance on external storage and enhancing direct-to-market distribution.
Investment in Efficiency and Capacity
Representing an investment of 200 million CZK, the new warehouse boasts an impressive floor area of 7,000 square meters. Its primary objective is to meet the surging demand for Magnesia mineral waters, which are bottled at the Mnichov plant. The previous capacity of approximately 2,000 pallets was no longer sufficient. The new facility expands this capacity more than six-fold, accommodating 12,500 pallets of finished products.
Alessandro Pasquale, owner and executive president of Mattoni 1873, highlights the operational benefits: "The newly acquired, more than six-fold storage capacity of 12,500 pallets will enable more efficient production planning, consolidate our entire portfolio of finished products in one warehouse, and allow us to deliver complete, full-truck orders directly to customers. This means Magnesia products will travel fewer kilometers." For businesses evaluating warehouse space in the Czech Republic, this demonstrates the critical role of adequate capacity in streamlining supply chains and reducing operational costs.
A Model for Sustainable Warehousing
This project is not just about scale; it's a testament to sustainable industrial development. The new distribution center is equipped with emission-free electric forklifts for internal goods handling, significantly reducing its operational carbon footprint. Designed with energy self-sufficiency in mind, the building is prepared for the future installation of solar panels, underscoring a commitment to renewable energy sources. Its integration into the surrounding landscape was also a key consideration, reflecting a holistic approach to responsible development. Companies prioritizing sustainable warehousing solutions will find Mattoni 1873’s approach particularly inspiring.
Long-Term Vision and Regional Growth
The opening of this advanced logistics hub aligns with Mattoni 1873's broader strategy, which emphasizes long-term sustainability and regional development. Since 2021, the group has invested a total of 650 million CZK into its operations within the Karlovy Vary Region, including a state-of-the-art canning line at its Kyselka plant in 2022, valued at over 200 million CZK. This consistent investment underscores the region's potential for industrial growth and infrastructure development, making it an attractive location for businesses seeking industrial property for rent.
The three-year project for the new warehouse was successfully executed by Baustav, a construction firm from the Karlovy Vary Region, highlighting the robust local expertise available for such large-scale industrial endeavors.
