“This leap in capacity corresponds to the strong demand for our services and reflects the potential of Czech e-commerce. In Ústí nad Labem, we will gain modern premises suitable for automation and a strategic background, thanks to which we will be able to offer e-shops fast and reliable logistics,” says Martin Beneš, CEO of Mailstep.

Emphasis on speed
The existing distribution center in Prague’s Horní Počernice remains in full operation. Its advantage is the extended “cut-off” time, i.e. the latest time for accepting an order with same-day shipping.

As part of the Ordered Tonight, Delivered Tomorrow initiative, launched in September 2024, Mailstep has moved this limit up to 7:30 p.m. – compared to the usual standard for fulfillment centers, which is around 2:00 p.m.

Shifting the cut-off time to 7:30 p.m. allows for same-day shipping of evening orders, which significantly shortens delivery times. Between 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, approximately one third of all daily orders are placed, and for some sellers even up to 40%. Thanks to fast shipping, e-shops are better able to meet the expectations of customers, who increasingly demand next-day delivery regardless of when they place their order.

"Thanks to Mailstep, our customers usually have their order at home or at the pick-up point the next day, which is close to the standards of the Czech e-commerce giant. Speed of delivery is definitely one of the most frequently mentioned benefits in reviews and after purchasing from our e-shop," says Jakub Lorenc, CEO and founder of VIF.

Today, Mailstep serves over 200 e-shops - from smaller and medium-sized sellers to larger Czech e-commerce players such as Aktin, Top4Sport or Fabini. The opening of a new warehouse in Ústí nad Labem is a strategic step that will allow us to satisfy the constantly growing interest in professional fulfillment services.
