Vermont is building an automated AutoStore warehouse with Element Logic

The new warehouse of Vermont, which exclusively represents the premium brands Gant, Karl Lagerfeld, Diesel and others on the Czech, Slovak and Hungarian markets, will have an automated solution based on AutoStore technology. This will be supplied by Element Logic.

The Czech industrial real estate market is growing at a record rate, according to a study by Colliers

From January to March 2022, industrial developers delivered a record number of new premises to the domestic market. The growth of the market and the recovery of industrial production were not stopped even by outages in the supply chains. The sharp increase in rents across the Czech Republic continued in that quarter. The market for industrial premises will continue to grow, but over the course of the year the full effects of the war in Ukraine will be felt and construction may slow down slightly. A study focused on the industrial real estate market was published by Colliers in the first quarter of this year.

Industrial areas in the Czech Republic aim to exceed the limit of 10 million square meters

The offer of industrial premises in the Czech Republic will exceed the magical limit of 10 million square meters of leasable space at the turn of May and June. The Kaufland chain has completed the construction of a fruit and vegetable warehouse in its distribution center in Modletice near Prague. The company inaugurated the new operation on May 10. The investment in the transformation of the entire company premises will reach almost 1.2 billion crowns.

C.S.Cargo opens a distribution center in Panattoni Park Týniště

A part of the new industrial hall with an area of 8,000 square meters was ceremoniously opened in Panattoni Park Týniště in the Rychnov region. The company C.S.Cargo will find the background for the operation of a warehouse for its client, the Czech brand of household appliances Concept. The superstructure over the usual logistics services will be the complete preparation of goods according to the requirements of Concept customers.

VGP leases 49,000 m2 in VGP Park Olomouc to HELLA group, a manufacturer of lighting technologies for the automotive industry in Moravia

VGP, the European developer and owner of semi-industrial and logistics real estate, has signed two lease agreements with HELLA AUTOTECHNIK NOVA. The company is one of the largest employers in the automotive industry within the Czech Republic, specialising in development and production of lighting technologies and electronics for such prestigious brands as Volkswagen, Audi and BMW. HELLA has leased in total more than 49,000 m2 of warehouse space in VGP Park Olomouc: 10,000 m2 is available from November 2021 in the already completed hall “I” and another 39,000 m2 will be available in the new hall “F” which aims for at least the Very Good rating under the BREEAM green certification with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability and that is under construction. The latter will be handed over to the tenant for use in fourth quarter 2022.

Developers are curbing speculative construction due to rising costs

Under the influence of rising building material prices, lack of capacity of supply companies and a sharp increase in energy costs, many industrial developers have decided to postpone or slow down the speculative construction of industrial buildings. Due to the continuing demand, this will further open up space for rent growth, which already in the first quarter of this year, not only in attractive locations around Prague and Brno, exceeded an average of 5 euros per square meter per month. This is reported by the quarterly analysis of the real estate consulting company 108 Agency.
