Rohlik.cz opened an automated distribution center in Chrášťany

Online supermarket Rohlik.cz presented a newly opened warehouse in Chrášťany near Prague. Here, the company launched the AutoStore cubic storage system supplied by Swisslog. Up to 265 robots are deployed in operation, which can handle a total of 44,000 boxes.

Despite the complications, the Czech automotive industry is reaching pre-crisis values

Motor vehicle production in the Czech Republic is coming to life again. A positive signal is not only the year-on-year increase, but also the comparison with the pre-crisis values of 2019. Domestic production of electric vehicles, whose share in total production is currently approaching 10%, is also starting up significantly. At the same time, the automotive industry continues to face a shortage of chips and raw materials, such as plastics and metals, and overall sales across European markets remain about a quarter below pre-crisis levels.

P3 is preparing an industrial park in Myslinka near Pilsen

Developer and administrator of industrial real estate P3 is preparing in the village Myslinka, which lies about 15 km from the center of Pilsen, the construction of a modern industrial park tailored to potential tenants. The main attraction of the P3 Plzeň Myslinka park will be, in addition to a convenient location on one of the most sought-after industrial real estate markets, also a great connection to the D5 motorway with the possibility of smooth transit to Germany and plenty of skilled labor.

Košík.cz has created 15,000 digital twins of stored items, simplifies logistics and saves emissions

Use storage space more efficiently, automatically identify incomplete purchases, and even better prevent item damage. But also save emissions from deliveries and increase the number of purchases sold. All this is the goal of the latest logistics project of the Košík.cz online supermarket, within which unique digital twins of all 15,000 items were created, which Košík stores in its warehouse. It was the first online supermarket to use its own sizing unit.

Continental in Brandýs continues to expand the plant extensively, starting the construction of two more buildings

Continental Automotive Czech Republic, in cooperation with CPI Property Group, has inaugurated the construction of two new buildings in its production facility in Brandýs nad Labem. The display hall and the office building together will offer a total of 5,000 square meters of new space. It should be put into operation at the beginning of 2022. The complex is already one of Continental's largest electronics plants in the world.

Czech industrial space hits 9.1 mln sqm

Industrial production in October and November in the Czech Republic increased slightly compared to the previous year with most of the growth in the automotive industry, according to figures from the Industrial Research Forum.
