Could you introduce NIKA Logistics and your role within the company?

NIKA Logistics a.s. is part of the ŠMÍDL HOLDING group, which has more than 35 years of experience in transportation, logistics, and warehousing. We focus on providing comprehensive logistics services ranging from warehousing and distribution to tailor-made solutions for individual clients.

My role involves developing business activities and finding effective solutions for our clients. The key for us is understanding their needs and designing logistics solutions that support their growth while optimizing costs, which is highly demanded today.

What logistics services and types of warehousing do you specialize in?

We specialize in comprehensive logistics, meaning not only warehousing itself but also related services such as order fulfillment, packaging, distribution, and inventory management.

We offer both standard pallet storage and customized solutions depending on the type of goods and the client’s requirements. We place strong emphasis on flexibility and the ability to respond quickly to changes.

How do you currently assess the warehousing and logistics market in the Czech Republic?

The market is very dynamic and highly competitive. There is long-term pressure on efficiency, speed, and service quality. At the same time, we continue to see stable demand for warehouse capacities, especially in well-accessible locations.

Today, companies are looking for partners who can help them not only with warehousing but also with optimizing the entire supply chain.

Have you noticed changes recently in clients’ requirements for logistics services?

Yes, the changes are very significant. Clients expect greater flexibility, faster response times, and a higher level of digitalization and automation.

At the same time, there is growing emphasis on transparency — the ability to track inventory in real time and maintain detailed visibility over the movement of goods.

Your portfolio also includes warehouse space in Liberec. What makes this location attractive from a logistics and distribution perspective?

Liberec is a strategic location due to its proximity to the German and Polish borders. It enables efficient distribution not only within the Czech Republic but also internationally.

For companies looking to optimize cross-border logistics, it is a very attractive solution. In addition, Liberec is strongly focused on the automotive segment, where we are able to offer clients interesting logistics solutions.

What are the main advantages these warehouse spaces offer tenants or clients?

The main advantages include excellent transport accessibility, modern infrastructure, and the ability to scale capacities according to the client’s current needs.

The facilities also include a wide range of additional services, allowing clients to outsource logistics and focus on their core business.

What type of companies are these warehouse spaces in Liberec most suitable for?

The spaces are ideal for manufacturing and trading companies that require efficient distribution across Central Europe.

They are also well suited for e-commerce companies that need fast order processing and flexible warehouse capacities.

What services are clients most frequently requesting today — traditional warehousing or comprehensive logistics solutions?

Demand for comprehensive solutions is clearly growing. Clients no longer want to manage individual parts of the logistics process separately.

They are looking for a partner who can handle everything from goods reception to final delivery to the end customer.

Do you see growing demand for flexible warehouse capacities or short-term solutions?

Yes, flexibility is key today. Companies need to react quickly to seasonal fluctuations or changes in demand.

Short-term solutions and the ability to rapidly increase or decrease capacities are becoming increasingly important.

What trends are currently influencing the logistics sector (e.g., automation, digitalization, ESG)?

The main trends include digitalization, automation, and pressure for sustainability.

Companies are investing in technologies that increase efficiency while reducing environmental impact. Data management and the use of data to optimize processes also play a major role.

At the same time, however, there is increasing pressure on financial costs, so it is necessary to find the right balance.

What are currently the biggest challenges in logistics and warehousing?

The biggest challenges include labor shortages, rising costs, and pressure for faster deliveries.

Another challenge is maintaining service quality despite ever-increasing client expectations.

What are your future plans, and what advice would you give companies looking for a reliable logistics partner?

Our goal is to continue developing comprehensive logistics solutions and strengthening our position as a reliable partner within ŠMÍDL HOLDING.

I would recommend that companies choose a partner based on their ability to adapt to their needs. Today, logistics is no longer just about warehousing — it is about an overall approach, flexibility, and long-term cooperation.
