“ShipMonk's story is absolutely fantastic. A few years ago, we would have talked about a fledgling start-up, but today we have the honor of an international company with a rocket expansion in the field of logistics and e-commerce. ShipMonk brilliantly combined these fields and thus became a textbook example proving the current e-commerce boom. We are extremely pleased that we can rent a storage hall to the company, which will also be ShipMonk's first logistics center in continental Europe," says Pavel Sovička, CEO of Panattoni for the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

"I am personally pleased that I managed to convince Jan Bednář (founder of ShipMonk - editor's note) that our hall in Cheb is the right and strategic place for ShipMonk's first distribution center in the Czech Republic. It's amazing how a student's story can turn into an extremely successful business journey with ever-growing potential. And that is exactly the prototype of the world's best companies, for which we decided years ago to prepare this currently one of the most attractive campuses with ideal possibilities both in terms of servicing Western markets and vacancies. The icing on the cake is that the completion of this building will completely revitalize the territory of the Cheb area," explains Milan Kratina, CEO of Accolade.

"We are honored to be able to open another chapter in the growth of our European distribution network in Cheb in cooperation with Panattoni. With the construction of a storage hall in the Czech Republic, ShipMonk is expanding its operations to Europe, thus continuing its international expansion outside the United States, which first began in Mexico, Canada and Great Britain. All of our recent expansions are focused on serving our growing client base. Thanks to our e-commerce software and expanding distribution services, we can offer first-class order delivery service to all clients worldwide. That's why we're grateful to have strong partners in Panattoni and Accolade helping ShipMonk realize this strategic opportunity," says Daniel Gdowski, Vice President of Marketing at ShipMonk.

Panattoni Park Cheb South was created on the brownfield site of the former engineering factories. During the revitalization, 90 percent of the construction and demolition waste was recycled. The first building, which is tenanted by Kaufland eCommerce Fulfillment, achieved the best rating of "Outstanding" under the BREEAM certification. The record score of 90.68 percent made the hall the greenest industrial building in the world. Also under construction within the hall are spaces for the leading European online parts and accessories retailer Autodoc, which will occupy 31,500 square meters of leasable space. Currently, Panattoni and the investor Accolade are preparing to build additional buildings in the nearby Panattoni Park Cheb industrial park.

The area of the park is also characterized by good transport connections to Germany, thanks to the proximity of the German highway A9. The European railway corridor from Prague to Nuremberg passes through the city, and the railway connection with the border areas of Germany and the Czech Republic is provided by a local line. The container terminal in the German city of Wiesau is 33 kilometers away. There is also a public transport bus stop right in the Park.
