The new L6 warehouse hall will offer nearly 20,000 sqm of storage space and will connect to the existing logistics complex, which has been operating in Lipník nad Bečvou since 2002. Once completed, the centre will be capable of supplying up to 160 PENNY stores across Moravia. Operations are scheduled to begin in February 2027.
Strategic Location and Modern Technologies
One of the key advantages of the logistics centre is its strategic location just three kilometres from the D35 motorway exit, enabling efficient distribution throughout the Moravian region. The project will also include parking capacity for 48 trucks and a corridor connecting the new hall with the existing facility for warehouse technology operations.
The new premises are specifically designed for storing chilled and frozen products. PENNY also plans to implement modern cooling technologies to ensure high-quality food transportation and more efficient operations.
PENNY Continues Expansion and Investments in Logistics
The expansion of the Lipník nad Bečvou centre is part of PENNY’s broader investment strategy for 2026. This year, the company plans to invest more than CZK 2.8 billion into Czech stores, network modernization, and logistics infrastructure.
In addition to expanding its retail network, PENNY has been continuously investing in distribution capacities and technological facilities. In recent years, the company also expanded its logistics network by opening a new logistics centre in Smiřice near Hradec Králové, supporting distribution in Eastern Bohemia.
According to the company, investments in logistics are essential for maintaining rapid growth and ensuring efficient supply operations across all regions of the Czech Republic.
