The facility is being developed within the Ostrava Airport Multimodal Park and will offer more than 120,000 m² of modern logistics space. Completion is expected in the first half of 2026, with full operations scheduled by the end of the year.
A global logistics gateway in the making
Once operational, the center will serve as a key hub in BMW’s global supply chain. From Mošnov, components will be distributed to overseas production plants, particularly in Asia and the Americas.
This positions the Czech Republic as a strategic connector between Europe and global markets, strengthening its role in international logistics flows.
Why Mošnov stands out
The location was selected for its unique multimodal infrastructure. The site integrates air, rail, and road transport, allowing for highly efficient and flexible logistics operations.
This connectivity is a major competitive advantage and one of the decisive factors behind BMW’s investment in the region.
Regional impact with international reach
Beyond logistics, the project is expected to deliver a strong economic boost to the region. Hundreds of new jobs are anticipated, along with additional growth across related industries and service providers.
The investment may also act as a catalyst, attracting further international companies and reinforcing the region’s position as a growing industrial and technology hub.
Backed by major industry players
The development is being carried out by Gridarch, while logistics operations will be handled by DP World.
The distribution center forms part of a broader expansion phase of the park, which is expected to grow into one of the largest logistics zones in the region.
A clear signal for the future
The nearing completion of BMW’s logistics center is more than just another construction milestone. It signals a broader shift—one where the Czech Republic, and particularly the Ostrava region, is becoming a key logistics powerhouse in Europe.
If expectations are met, Mošnov could soon rank among the most important distribution points for the global automotive industry.
