Kion unveils AI control tower at GTC in San José

At the GTC 2025 conference in San José, USA in March, Kion Group presented how its subsidiary Dematic uses so-called physical artificial intelligence. It was a control tower that, in conjunction with a digital twin and AI, analyzes warehouse processes and helps to further streamline them. This is another result of Kion's collaboration with Nvidia and Accenture: the digital twin is created using Nvidia Omniverse technologies and the Mega Omniverse Blueprint platform.

Prologis' Central European portfolio surpasses five million square meters

After 20 years of operation in the Central European region, Prologis, a developer, reports that its warehouse portfolio there has surpassed five million square meters. The latest building, measuring 37,000 square meters, was recently completed at Prologis Park Ruda Śląska in southwestern Poland. In total, Prologis owns and manages almost 240 buildings in the region.

Mailstep is expanding its operations, renting another center in Ústí nad Labem

VGP Park Ústí nad Labem City is fully occupied. Mailstep, a logistics company primarily providing logistics services to e-shops, has leased the remaining 18,800 square meters of warehouse and operational space in halls B and C. According to the developer's press release, these spaces are aiming for BREEAM Excellent sustainability certification. The transaction was brokered by real estate consulting company 108 Real Estate.

Handling equipment manufacturer builds a mechatronics center for 50 million euros

Still and Mercurius Industrial Properties have started construction of a mechatronics center in Hamburg. Still also plans to further develop its plant there – from 2026, it will produce its own lithium-ion batteries in the port city.

Ecologistics expands lease in P3 Lovosice and expands into a new hall

Ecologistics, a logistics company specializing in e-commerce, is expanding its operations in the P3 Logistic Parks in Lovosice. As part of its expansion, it will lease Hall C, which the developer completed last year, on a long-term basis. Former Czech Savings Bank fund buys logistics park in Slovakia for 1.6 billion

The Reico Long Lease mutual fund, which is now part of the parent group of Česká spořitelna Erste Group Bank, has made its first trip to Slovakia. It has purchased a newly built logistics complex in Senec, which is being leased by the multinational transport company DSV. The acquisition was worth 1.625 billion crowns and is the fund's fifth property.

An automated high-bay warehouse for car bodies grows at Škoda Auto, and conveyor bridges will also be built here

The Škoda Auto car manufacturer's intralogistics at its production plant in Mladá Boleslav will be strengthened by fully automated conveyor bridges and an automated high-bay warehouse (HRL) for the transport and storage of passenger car bodies. This follows from a recent press release from the design and construction consulting firm Obermeyer Helika, which is participating in this project. The first stage of the actual project implementation, i.e. the construction of the warehouse, is starting these days.
